IPI-ITEX¡¡2008 in Malaysia

As part of JIPA Strategies to Asian countries PJ activities, Mr. Kuji, ex-JIPA President, Mr. Shimura, ex-JIPA vice president, and Mr. Hagiwara, ex-JIPA vie-president attended IPI-ITEX ¡Ç08 which was organized by Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS) at Kula Lumpur.

ITEX 08 (19th International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition) provides universities, research institutions, individual inventors and corporate companies to opportunities to show their inventions, new technologies and products.

On behalf of JIPA, Mr. Shimura gave a speech titled ¡ÈCommercialization of University and Corporate Inventions¡Ç. Mr. Kuji and Mr. Hagiwara selected two JIPA awards.

Universities and research institutes seemed much more eager to find a way to link their inventions to business rather than companies. Such ambience showed intent and willingness to lead Malaysia an IP- centric industry nation.
