Mission of IPOS, BG. Tan visits JIPA
On April 17th, 2013, BG. Tan Yih San, Chief Executive of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), and Mr. Chua of Singapore Economic Development Board, came to JIPA to exchange opinions. JIPA’s FY2013 President Mr. Ueno and members from International Affairs Committee and Asia Project team took part in the meeting.At first JIPA introduced FY2013’s main activities, slogan, and administration. Then JIPA explained its taskforce for “Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement” that now Japanese government actively promote early ratification.
IPOS presented their activities and system and then mentioned their positive coordination between patent prosecution highway (PPH) and the ASEAN Patent Examination Cooperation (ASPEC). They requested JIPA’s support to IP related conference called “IP Week” which is scheduled in August. JIPA continues positive cooperation with IPOS.
