JIPA Awards in International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX)2013, Malaysia

From May 9-11, ITEX’13 was held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. JIPA has given the awards to honor people for promoting innovation, rising awareness since 2008. This year, three JIPA awards were elected among over 1000 inventions at the fair. The details are as below.

• JIPA Green Technology Award

• JIPA Biotechnology Award
  Invention       : Non-starch polysaccharide-rich fraction of Morinda Citrifolia (Mengkudu) as
                          a glucose lowering agent
  Inventor         : Nik Musaaah
  Organization : Forest Research Institute Malaysia
• JIPA Design Award
  Invention         : Buffing Machine (Tyre)
  Inventor          : Mohamad Sabri Bin Othman
  Organization : Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA)
