JIPA Awards in Thailand Inventors' Day 2014

Thailand Inventors' Day was held during August 23-26, 2014, at Nonthaburi in the vicinity of Bangkok, where JIPA provided special prizes for the invention award event. The provision of our awards aims at raising inventive awareness in Asia and establishing the ethics of respect for intellectual property, and Thailand is the third country following Malaysia and Taiwan where this award is provided.

The Inventors' Day in Thailand is sponsored by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). This is an event for honoring the invention of a water quality improving apparatus by the Thai King, as well as an exhibition/merchandising fair of inventions and innovations for the purpose of encouraging and disseminating inventions in Thailand and abroad. More than 600 inventions were exhibited from home and abroad this year, and the following three inventions were chosen for the JIPA Awards.

JIPA Green Technology Award

Invention: Application of HVDC for Smoke Collecting in Cooking Process
Inventor: Mr. Visut Asanavijit
Oragnization: Rajamangala University of Technology LANNA, THAILAND.

JIPA Biotechnology Award

Invention: Hair Growth Control Products from a Thai Medicinal Plant
Inventors: Ms. Kornkanok Ingkaninan , Ms. Jukkarin Srivilai, and other 18 members
Oragnization: Naresuan University, THAILAND

JIPA Design Award

Invention: Water Bicycle
Inventors: Mr. Sornwichai Nilburee, Mr. Thanat Luesopa
