They come to Japan to study Japanese patent practice at the Asia Pacific Intellectual Property Center of Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation.

After introducing themselves individually, JIPA explained examiners to JIPA’s organization and committee activities mainly Asia related activities. Ms. Rehka told us the latest Indian IP situation, like establishment of National Institute for Intellectual Property Management, their examiners increasing plan by the year 2012, and upgrade their Search System and so on.

Following the introduction, JIPA asked questions on future patent law revision, their newly upgraded search system, procedural problems and institutional problems like “implementation report requirement” and “compulsory license on medical patent”. Even if their countries are different, their same interests made them share common awareness of the issues.

Although three examiners must be tired form two- months -IP practice training since the end of August, they responded politely and particularly to each questions.
