   1. 「国内と欧米企業の比較考察に基づく知財人材活用、組織のあるべき姿に関する研究」

      【報告概要】
      今後の外国企業との競争・共創を想定し、国内外企業の知財組織や人材・スキルの違いに起因する課題や、その解決方法を検討することは重要である。そこで欧米企業へのヒアリング等を通じて国内と欧米企業の差異を明らかにし、日本企業が事業目線を持って知財業務を遂行できる組織設計について提言を行った。
   2. 「『戦わずして勝つ』、協創時代に求められる知財戦略の研究」

      【報告概要】
      協創ビジネスが拡大する中、敵対的な知財権の権利行使はビジネスの可能性を狭める恐れがある。本研究では、自社の知財を活かしつつも敵対関係を生じず、「戦わずして勝つ」ことを主眼とする知財戦略を検討した。自社とライバル間の競争関係２例（後発・拮抗）について「戦わずして勝つ」方法を提言する。

   3. 「Brexitの知的財産権への影響 ― 今知っておくべきこと／The Impact of Brexit on IP Rights - what you need to know now」

      【講演概要】
      Brexitの移行期間は2020年に終了し、欧州連合商標や登録共同体意匠の英国への再出願期間も過ぎた。今後、クライアントの知的財産権の保護を得るためのアドバイスを行う際には、欧州連合外となった英国の立場を考慮しなければならない。本講演では、特許、補完的保護証明、意匠、商標、植物品種権、保護された地理的表示、著作権、データベース権、営業秘密に関する現状をまとめて説明する。また、欧州単一特許や統一特許裁判所に関連する最新の動向や、Brexit後に英国が参加しないことによる影響についても説明する。

      　　The Brexit transition period ended in 2020 and the periods for re-filing EU trade marks and Registered Community Designs have now also passed. Going forward, we must take the UK’s position outside of the EU into account when advising clients on obtaining protection for their intellectual property rights. This talk will summarise the current situation applicable to patents, Supplementary Protection Certificates (SPCs), designs, trade marks, plant variety rights, protected geographical indications, copyright and database rights and trade secrets. The talk will also discuss the latest developments relating to the unitary patent and unified patents court and the impact of the UK’s lack of participation following Brexit.

In first part, it explains the prosecution of trademark applications filed though Madrid Protocol designating Brazil, including local peculiarities and recommendations. In second part, the presentation clarifies the recent regulation for registration for position marks in Brazil, citing examples from fashion and motor vehicle industries.
