Application for Membership

Associate Member
Corporations, organizations, institutions, etc. that do not meet the requirements for Regular Membership but support the objectives of the Association.
[Typical Examples]
  1. Foreign corporations, institutions, or organizations other than Japanese corporations
  2. Government ministries and agencies, local government bodies, or their affiliated organizations
  3. Non-profit organizations such as incorporated associations, foundations, national university corporations, educational corporations, independent administrative institutions, and special corporations
  4. Law firms, patent firms, patent search companies, Technology Licensing Organizations (TLOs), etc.
Admission Fee and Annual Membership Fee
  • Admission fee：100,000 JPY
  • Annual membership fee：250,000 JPY
Membership Application Procedures
To become an Associate Member,
  1. please complete and send us the Application Form. Also, you need to have one of our Regular Members’ recommendations.
  2. Company (Business) Overview
  3. *Organizational overview of the intellectual property department and its positioning within the company
  4. *Number of patents, utility models, designs, and trademarks owned domestically and internationally, as well as the number of applications currently pending
